Business Awards 2022
In case you were unable to attend, I’ve provided a brief summary of the 2022 Business Awards that were held Thursday, June 9th.
On Acadia University campus and hosted by Jeremy Lutes and Mark Vardy, the event opened with some live music from The Mark Riley Band and a warm welcome from the hosts. Elder Lorraine Whitman welcomed everyone with an opening prayer, followed by announcing the winners of each category.
Three Lifetime Achievement Award winners were recognized, Paul Gates, Donna Conrad, and Greg Trefry. Inspiring individuals who deserve recognition for their incredible accomplishments.
The event finished up with a prayer from Elder Lorraine Whitman and photos of category winners. Listed below.
We hope that everyone that was able to attend enjoyed the evening, it was lovely to see all of your faces and be able to celebrate the successes in our local business community. Congratulations to all of the nominees, and all of the category winners, well deserved!
We would like to thank the sponsors of the event for making it possible, our hosts, Jeremy Lutes and Mark Vardy, Elder Lorraine Whitman, The Mark Riley Band, Chartwell’s catering, Two Birds One Stone, Cassidy Hatt Photography, Rose Schoonhoven videography, Triangle House Studios and everyone else that helped us make the event such a success.

Did you know that hot air balloons were invented in 1783? Or that the first passengers in a hot air balloon were a duck, a sheep, and a rooster? Or that the first humans to fly in a hot air balloon were supposed to be convicted criminals??
Come find out more of the story, who the first humans were to leave the surface of the earth in flight, and learn why we share a glass of champagne after every flight with our passengers and land owners.
