Fall Workshops

Are you a small business owner or entrepreneur who is frustrated and overwhelmed trying to manage your social media presence, while still finding time to work on your business?  Do you feel like the efforts that you are currently making are not yielding the results you are looking for? Do you procrastinate posting because you don’t know what to say? Or maybe you feel like you’re speaking into a void and wasting your time altogether?
We can help!
We’re hosting a Strategic Social Media Marketing for Small Businesses & Entrepreneurs In-Person Workshop, on October 4th at the @valleybusinesshub with Julie Ogilvie!
In this highly interactive, in-person course, we will perform a 4-hour deep dive into Social Media strategy and marketing techniques. You will learn how to balance, and potentially reduce the amount of time you are spending on social media, while increasing its effectiveness.

A Message from our President

Well, we are certainly into the fall now. Kids are back at school, our college and university partners are in full swing and our agriculture and tourism industries are into a spectacular time of year.

Valley’s Best is well underway with voting and we look forward to seeing you all at the event on October 20th, being held at Millstone Harvest Brewhouse. What a splendid venue for this time of year!

Our professional development courses are starting up this week, and we are always open to exploring new opportunities to provide our members, and our region, with topics that add value for you and your business.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Findlay McRae, VP and Board Director for his years of service to AVCC and the Business Community, as he pivots to new adventures. I would also like to thank Wade Tibbo, Board Director and Chair of the Advocacy Committee for his time with us and wish him the best of luck in his new role outside of our Region.

With this, I welcome existing Board Director Jake Rideout into the role of 1st VP and Chair of the Communications Committee, and Drew Redden into a new Board Director role and Chair of the Agriculture Committee. Drew comes to us with a deep understanding of the Chamber world.

 See you on the 20th!
