Info Session with Kathleen Novelia, Immigration and Settlement Navigator

Four people sitting around a board table laughing
Last week we had the pleasure of attending Kathleen Novelia, Immigration and Settlement Navigator from the Valley Regional Enterprise Network’s info session on Immigration Programs and Supports. With presentations from IRCC (Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada), LSI (Labour, Skills, and Immigration Nova Scotia), YREACH and YMCA Immigration Services, Valley Community Learning Association, and the Connector Program it was a great opportunity to discuss how to engage with a diverse workforce.
The group discussed opportunities, current barriers to hiring foreign talent such as housing, and potential solutions.
Stay tuned for upcoming info sessions like these by following the Annapolis Valley Welcome Network on Facebook.

Below I’ve linked upcoming Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility Trainings coordinated by Kathleen scheduled for February 26th.
