2024 Annual General Meeting
Last week, we hosted our Annual General Meeting, gathering virtually from Kings Arms Pub in Kentville to reflect on a successful year, connect with our membership, and look ahead to 2025. We’re pleased to welcome our new Board Chair, Michael Peters, and extend our sincere thanks to Jake Rideout for his leadership and dedication over the past two years. A special thank you to Kings Arms Pub for hosting and treating us to their delicious appetizers — don’t miss the wonton nachos! We’re also excited to welcome new Board members Hannah Crossman (Hergett Law), Ryan Lumsden (Michelin), Christina Fitzgerald (Elite Trade Painting), and Derek Hale (BMO). If you missed the AGM, you can view our Annual Report here.

Split Rips, Where it’s at, Tour Nova Scotia
The first season of Split Rips is off to a fantastic start! Where it’s at, Tour Nova Scotia in partnership with Huntley’s Diving & Marine, is offering Zodiac Rips from the Scots Bay Wharf to Cape Split. This weekend marks the fourth in a row with successful departures—and there’s still space for more adventurers! Tours run Saturdays and Sundays from now through November, with up to three departures per high tide. Departure times vary daily with the tides, and trips are $189 per person (that’s $166 + HST), with a minimum of four guests and a maximum of six per departure. A huge thank you to the Scots Bay Wharf Society for their ongoing dedication—without their efforts, this exciting new venture wouldn’t be possible. There’s room for creativity in our incredible Valley, and Split Rips is proud to be part of that spirit. Ahoy!
