Physician Community Navigator News

Rural week was a success again this year in the Annapolis Valley. The week started off with a Skills Challenge, held at the Family Medicine Residency training facility in Kentville. Suturing skills led by the PGY1 & PGY2 FM Residents.

Later in the week, 8 Dalhousie Medicine Students visited the Annapolis Valley to get a real-world experience of what it’s like to practice rural medicine.

PCN, Breanna Sangster organized a Blomidon Lookoff Bus Tour & Picnic with Students. Students traveled to the Blomidon Provincial Park to see the picturesque landscape of the Annapolis Valley from above, with a guided tour by Where It’s At Tours, stopping at Kingsport Beach to enjoy a  locally bundled picnic by Gather Here.
Thank you to PCN, Breanna Sangster, Doctors Nova Scotia, and Office Of Healthcare Professionals Recruitment for making it all possible.
