Meet a Board Member: Raj Nayak 👋

Meet Raj Nayak, our new Board Member!
Starting my technology adventure in India over 30 years ago, my journey had me working in exotic places like Abu Dhabi, Qatar, and Scotland before establishing myself in Calgary, Saskatoon, and now in the valley. I have spent most of my career, either working with technology start-ups or building my own. I have enjoyed being part of a growing technology start-up environment in Calgary in the ’90s, then in Saskatoon from 2011 to 2019. Both of these are now considered the fastest-growing technology environments in Canada. As the Chair of the Technology and Innovation Committee in Saskatoon, I have seen the power of the Chamber in shaping the future of the fastest-growing technology sector growth through supporting a very dominant agricultural Saskatoon. The valley has a similarly strong agricultural sector that can support and be supported by innovative technological solutions. I believe the chamber has the power and responsibility in making those partnerships grow and flourish within our community.
I am looking forward to being part of the young and dynamic team at the AVCC and contributing to ensuring the AVCC is a strong united voice for business and works to ensure that existing business thrives in the Annapolis Valley while supporting new businesses in making this their home.
We’re looking forward to having you on the Board and your contributions to the Annapolis Valley Chamber, Raj!
