Business Development - Red Tape & Regulatory Process Feedback
As part of our ongoing advocacy efforts, we are gathering feedback from Annapolis Valley Chamber membership about their experiences with business development, particularly around red tape and regulatory processes. We understand that navigating approvals, permits, licensing, and compliance requirements can often create unnecessary delays and added costs. By sharing your perspective, you’ll help us identify the most pressing barriers and strengthen our ability to advocate for smarter, more streamlined processes that support business growth and innovation in our region.
All feedback will remain anonymous. If you would like to be more directly involved in the conversation, please reach out—we’d welcome the opportunity to connect.

New ACOA Initiative Supports Atlantic Canadian Businesses
Small- and medium-sized businesses are the backbone of Atlantic Canada’s economy and communities. Over the past few years, these businesses have shown remarkable resilience—keeping people working, finding ways to grow, and adapting to a changing world.
To support this continued strength, the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) has launched the Regional Tariff Response Initiative (RTRI), with applications now open. This initiative is designed to help Atlantic Canadian businesses adapt to shifting trade conditions, improve productivity, diversify markets, and strengthen supply chains.
The goal is clear: to ensure local businesses remain competitive, create good jobs, and continue growing right here at home.
👉 Learn more about the initiative by exploring ACOA’s RTRI infographic and attending one of the upcoming information sessions.
👉 To register, contact ACOA’s Business Information Services at bis-sie@acoa-apeca.gc.ca, call 1-888-576-4444, or register online.
