Valley Business Hub

Welcome Rhian Merritt, our new Connector Program Coordinator!

“I love the Valley and am very glad to be in this new role working closely with folks throughout this region. I have previously been a student at Acadia University, and most recently have worked at the Wolfville Farmers’ Market as their Communications Manager. I have experience working in non-profit organizations, arts administration, and community outreach. Basically, if I get to chat to awesome people, get creative, and collaborate with the community, I’ll be happy!”

If you are interested in learning more about the Connector Program or in becoming a connector/connectee, visit our website www.valleyren.ca, or you can reach Rhian at: connector@valleyren.ca.

Congratulations to Liz Huntly on her retirement from the retail industry! Liz, along with her dedicated team at Swimwear Hut, has been an integral part of the business community and a dedicated member of the Chamber. Her contributions and presence will be greatly missed. Although Liz is retiring, the sister store, LIV Fashion Boutique, will remain open and continue to serve the community with the same excellence. We wish Liz all the best in her next chapter and look forward to seeing what new adventures await her. Best of luck, Liz!

Canadian Chamber Statement on Minister LeBlanc’s Plan to Remove Trade Barriers within Canada

“Today’s announcement by Minister LeBlanc to remove federal exceptions is a positive step forward to finally having freer trade within Canada. It’s an inexpensive way to help Canadian businesses trade more freely across the country. By removing unnecessary internal trade barriers, we can boost job creation and grow our economy, which is especially important in this challenging economic climate.”
